Serves 60 mins prep20 mins cook
Grilled Beef Burgers are a year-round staple in our house. Juicy, flavorful, and incredibly simple to make and grill once you know what you're doing, they feature a family favorite seasoning: Cajun seasoning. This is the burger recipe we make on repeat time and again.

Instructions
1 Preheat the grill. We want it on a medium-high heat around 475°F-550°F. (Keep in mind that when you open the grill, it will lose heat quickly, so we want it screaming hot to begin with.) 2 While the grill preheats, place the [wprm-ingredient text="2 lbs. ground beef" uid="1"] into a bowl. Season with [wprm-ingredient text="1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce" uid="2"], [wprm-ingredient text="1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning" uid="3"], [wprm-ingredient text="½ teaspoon kosher salt" uid="4"] and [wprm-ingredient text="½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper." uid="5"] Mix the seasonings into the meat as best you can. 3 Divide the beef into 6 portions. Try to make them as equal as possible and quickly form a rough ball with each. 4 Place the beef portions on a sheet of parchment paper on a flat surface. 5 Press the rounds of ground meat into burger patties with the palm of your hand, about 1 ¼” thick and about 4 ½” wide. They do not need to be perfect circles, nor do they need to be worked a ton. You may oil your hands to prevent the meat from sticking to them. 6 Use your thumb or a spoon to create an indention in the middle of each burger to prevent the meat from warping as it cooks. If your meat feels warm, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes. 7 Brush the grill grates with a little avocado oil (or another high smoke point oil) before placing the burgers on the grill. 8 Place the burger patties in the middle of the grill and immediately turn the burners beneath them to the lowest setting possible. This will help prevent flare-ups. 9 Grill the burgers, flipping once. We grilled ours for 3-4 minutes on the first side, then another 2-3 on the second. If you are adding cheese to the burgers, add the cheese slice(s) about one minute before you take the burgers off the grill. 10 Take the burger’s temperature with an instant read meat thermometer. When the burgers are cooked to your ideal temperature, remove them from the grill, and turn off the heat. 11 Place the [wprm-ingredient text="6 burger buns" uid="6"] directly on the grill grates, and toast for 2-3 minutes, or until the buns are slightly toasty. 12 Let the burgers rest for 10 to 15 minutes then serve on buns warm with your favorite toppings (like [wprm-ingredient text="Lettuce" uid="8"], [wprm-ingredient text="Tomatoes" uid="9"], [wprm-ingredient text="Red onion" uid="10"], [wprm-ingredient text="Caramelized onions" uid="11"] and [wprm-ingredient text="Condiments" uid="12"]) and enjoy.View original recipe
