2 Peel the potatoes and dice into bite-sized pieces. Place in a saucepan with cold water. Salt the water liberally. 20 Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork tender. 21 Drain the potatoes in a colander and transfer back to the saucepan. 3 Pour in the 2 tablespoons of milk, add the butter, garlic and pepper to the hot potatoes. 4 Mix using a whisk or a hand mixer until the desired consistency.
