1 Combine the water and sugar in a saucepan. 2 Heat over medium heat, swirling or stirring as the syrup ingredients heat up, until the sugar has completely dissolved. This should take 3-4 minutes. 3 Remove from the heat. Add the whole mint leaves. 4 Let the flavors infuse for 20-30 minutes. Give it a taste at the 20-minute mark to see how it tastes for you. If you want a stronger mint flavor, let it steep for longer. 5 When done infusing, strain through a fine mesh strainer. 6 Store the cooled simple syrup in a mason jar for up to a month in the refrigerator.View original recipe
