Instructions
0 Move the top oven rack to be 6” beneath the broiler. This is very important and it needs to be done before you turn on the broiler. 1 Preheat the broiler to 550°F. Spritz a sheet pan with a little nonstick cooking spray (like avocado oil spray.)** 2 Trim the woody ends from [wprm-ingredient text="1 ½ lb. fresh asparagus" uid="0"]. Place the asparagus in a bowl. (You can reserve the woody stems to make a stock later or toss them.) 3 Toss with [wprm-ingredient text="1 tablespoon avocado oil" uid="1"], [wprm-ingredient text="1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice" uid="4"], [wprm-ingredient text="½ teaspoon kosher salt" uid="2"] and [wprm-ingredient text="¼ teaspoon black pepper" uid="3"]. Toss until coated. 4 Place on the prepared sheet pan in a single layer. 5 Broil for 5-6 minutes, until the asparagus begins to turn golden and is fork tender. This timing will be dependent on how thick the asparagus is! If it's pencil thin, yours will take a lot less time. 6 Remove and sprinkle on [wprm-ingredient text="2 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese" uid="5"]. Broil for another 2-3, until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly. 7 Remove from the broiler, and enjoy immediately.View original recipe
